BitLogic Logo Don't believe everything you think, and you probably shouldn't believe everything we think either.  BitLogic is, for lack of a better term, primarily a politics blog.  However, BitLogic is not limited to politics.

As BitLogic matures and the site is populated with content, you will find:

  • A moderately liberal interpretation of politics and current events
  • Commentary on game design, development, and some critiques of games
  • Fiction and science fiction, short-stories, vignettes
  • Other random observations as my fevered mind decides

My road to realizing a great many of my views were liberal rather than conservative was a long one, and while few of my views changed, some of them did in the last 7 years.  I've always been very hawkish, but my hawishness has limits.  In addition, I'm not in favor of badly-conducted wars.  Iraq failed to meet me requirements for the use force.  The experience has moved my threshold for war up a little, but I'm still largely hawkish.

The economic collapse had the most significant impact on my world-view.  The economy is about risk/reward (assuming appropriate transparency), but it turns out that if you're large enough, risks have limits, and since risks have limits, we the people can place limits on the rewards as well.  (eg: interest-rate caps).  These risks are mitigated by both Republican and Democratic administrations, making their mitigation a certainty.  So long as these conditions are maintained, I have little sympathy for whining on the part of corporations and their defenders regarding the government limiting their pursuit of screwing over consumers.

But enough about me for now.

BitLogic is undergoing yet another site redesign. This time, I'm using Mambo, which is probably the most advanced thing I've done as far as installing software on my domain.  As with all things, the more powerful it is, the more complex it is, and Mambo is not without perplexing issues, so bear with me as I slowly make the site useful.
